
Memorialize the loss of a loved one or commemorate a birth, anniversary, graduation or special occasion with our commemorative program.
We will entertain any request from the public for alternative methods of commemoration. For additional help, information or to submit a service request please contact Access St. John's.
Victorian‑style benches are available in Bowring Park and Victoria Park at a cost of $5,000 per bench. As part of the commemorative program, contributors may provide a small bronze plaque (7.6 cm x 25 cm) at their own cost. The City will attach the plaque to an existing or newly installed bench within the City’s park system.
Due to an abundance of benches, the City is no longer accepting requests for regular‑style benches in the following locations: Mundy Pond, Quidi Vidi Lake, Kenny’s Pond, Deadmans Pond, and Bannerman Park.
Community‑style park benches are available at a cost of $2,000. Contributors may also provide a small bronze plaque (7.6 cm x 25 cm) at their own expense, which the City will install on the bench.

The City accepts applications for commemorative stones to be placed in Bannerman Park. Stones may be purchased to memorialize the loss of a loved one, or to commemorate a special occasion.

Our Commemorative Tree Planting Program involves a $800 fee, which includes your choice of tree:
As part of the program, the contributor's name will be added to the Commemorative Tree Planting bulletin display located at the west entrance to Bowring Park, or Quidi Vidi Park, as requested.
