FireFit Championships

Organized by FireFit Canada Ltd., the competition simulates real emergency scenarios through a high-intensity obstacle course. Competitors, wearing full gear, race through tasks like stair climbs, hose hoists, forcible entry, and victim rescue. This regional championship brings together firefighters from across Newfoundland and Labrador and beyond to compete for top standings and qualification opportunities at larger national and international FireFit events.

The event is open to the public and offers an exciting opportunity to see firefighters in action, showcasing strength, skill, and teamwork. Details for spectators and how to attend will be released this summer.

The event welcomes competitors of all experience levels, from new firefighters to seasoned veterans, competing individually or as part of relay teams. FireFit not only promotes physical fitness and emergency response readiness but also fosters camaraderie and professional excellence within the firefighting community.

Competitors must create a profile, complete a health questionnaire, and register for the event online.
