The City of St. John’s recreation facilities will reopen today starting at 4 p.m. for regular scheduled programming. The Winter Activity Centre will remain closed for the day.

Due to current weather conditions, all City facilities will remain closed for the day. An update for evening operations for recreation facilities will be provided at 2 p.m. 

Please be advised that all City facilities, including City Hall, recreation facilities and the Residential Drop-Off at Robin Hood Bay will be closed tomorrow morning (Tuesday, March 24) due to forecasted weather. 

Due to forecasted weather, curbside waste collection is cancelled on Tuesday, March 24, 2026. A further update on the revised collection schedule will be provided tomorrow.

Please be advised that the elevators at City Hall and the Annex, located at 10 New Gower Street, are currently out of service. A technician will be assessing the City Hall elevator today; however, a timeline for repairs is not yet available.
