The City is considering an amendment to Appendix C, Map 5 "Waterways and Flood Hazards" of the Envision St. John's Development Regulations.
Motorists are advised that Linegar Avenue (between Horlick Avenue and the Harry Yetman Shea Heights Park) will be closed from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, July 19 to facilitate the Shea Heights Folk Festival.
The City is considering a text amendment to the St. John’s Development Regulations to enable more residential uses and to change the requirements for Subsidiary Dwelling Units within a Single Detached Dwelling.
The City has received an application to amend the Envision St. John's Development Regulations to add "Dwelling Unit - 1st storey" as a Discretionary Use to the Commercial Office Hotel (COH) Zone.
To accommodate road and sidewalk upgrades on Freshwater Road/Kenmount Road between Polina Road and Crosbie Road, there will be traffic impacts starting 7 a.m. on Tuesday, September 2.
Due to the forecasted high temperatures and humidex this week, the annual Party in the Park will be cancelled for Wednesday, July 16 and will now be held indoors on Thursday, July 17 at the Mazol Shriners at 530 Topsail Road from 1 to 4 p.m.
A temporary lane reduction and sidewalk closure will be in place from Wednesday, July 16 to Friday, August 8 from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Macdonald Drive to accommodate work on the Portugal Cove Road to Logy Bay Road Shared-Use Path project.
The City of St. John’s is making progress on the development of the Crosstown Shared-Use Path (SUP). Work will begin on eastern section of the route, from Portugal Cove Road to Logy Bay Road, on July 16.
