To facilitate construction, access to the Portugal Cove Road, Major’s Path, and Airport Heights Drive roundabout from Major’s Path will be closed from 12 to 4 p.m. on Monday, September 28.

To facilitate paving, there will be delays and detours in and around the Portugal Cove Road, Major’s Path and Airport Heights Drive roundabout on Saturday, September 26 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Take notice that St. John’s Development Regulations Amendment Number 80, 2026, adopted on July 14, 2026, has been registered by the Minister of Municipal and Community Affairs.

Contractors may be working on the following streets from September 28 to October 3 under the City’s annual streets rehabilitation and infrastructure maintenance programs. Work could include concrete/street excavation, concrete work, paving, heater scarifying, utility adjustment, ditch cleaning and culvert installation. Commuters may experience traffic delays in these areas.

The City has received an application from Donovan Homes Ltd. to rezone land at 188 Airport Heights Drive from the Residential 1 (R1) Zone to the Residential 2 (R2) Zone. The proposed rezoning would enable the development of approximately 54 semi-detached dwellings and 27 townhouses, for a total of 81 new homes. The subject property is in the Residential District of the Envision St. John’s Municipal Plan, so a Municipal Plan amendment is not required.

A Discretionary Use Application has been submitted by 101392 Newfoundland & Labrador Ltd. at 468 Topsail Road (located on 470 Topsail Road).

A change of Non-Conforming Use application has been submitted by Duo Maple T & I Inc. for 227 Empire Avenue.

A Discretionary Use application has been submitted for 21 Connors Avenue.
