To facilitate filming for a television series, Quidi Vidi Road between Forest Road and Empire Avenue will be closed on either Monday, May 11 or Tuesday, May 12 from approximately 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. (the date is weather dependent).
The City will be opening the Residential Re-Leaf program on Monday, May 11 at 9 a.m., where St. John’s residents can apply for a $250 voucher towards the purchase of a tree to plant on their property.

The City is considering a text amendment to the Envision St. John’s Development Regulations to add “Dwelling Units on the 1st storey – properties 24 to 30 Duckworth Street” as a Permitted Use in the Commercial Downtown Mixed (CDM) Zone.
The City has received an application from CGI Development Inc. to rezone land at 125 Southlands Boulevard from the Commercial Regional (CR) Zone to the Residential 2 (R2) Zone for a residential subdivision comprised of 86 Semi-detached Dwellings.
To facilitate construction of a shared-use path west of the roundabout, the trail between Argus Place and Airport Heights Drive will be closed intermittently.
During Drinking Water Week, the City of St. John’s highlights the essential role of drinking water infrastructure and the ongoing work required to deliver safe, reliable water to the community.
