City Council Meeting Recap: March 25, 2025The following is a recap of the City of St. John's Regular Council Meeting on March 25, 2025, which provides an overview of Council decisions.
Application - 425 Blackmarsh Road (Welland Street)The City has received an application to rezone a portion of land at 425 Blackmarsh Road, between 48 and 56 Welland Street, from the Apartment 2 (A2) Zone to the Residential 3 (R3) Zone to create one new lot for a Single Detached Dwelling. A Municipal Plan amendment is not required.
Application - 55 Cashin AvenueA change of Non-Conforming Use application has been submitted by Signage Global Solutions Inc. for 55 Cashin Avenue.
Application - 31 Malta StreetA Discretionary Use application has been submitted by Lavish Nails & Headspa Inc. for 31 Malta Street.
Garbage Must Be Covered Beginning April 1Garbage put out at the curb for collection must be completely covered from April 1 through November 30. Acceptable methods of covering garbage include using nets or containers (metal or plastic) with a closed lid.
