The City of St. John’s wishes to announce the retirement of City Manager, Kevin Breen.

Cancellation: curbside waste collection for Monday, January 19, 2026 will take place on Tuesday, January 20.

Cancellation: curbside waste collection is cancelled for Friday, January 16, 2026 and will take place on Saturday, January 17.

Please be advised that the Winter Activity Centre located at North Bank Lodge in Pippy Park is closed until further notice due to lack of snow and unsafe trail conditions.

The City of St. John’s has earned one of the highest environmental transparency ratings globally, receiving an A grade from the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) for 2025.

Due to forecasted high winds, curbside waste collection is cancelled for Monday, January 12, 2026. Collection will take place on Tuesday, January 13, along with regularly scheduled waste collection for that day.
