Please be advised that the City of St. John’s fireworks planned for 10 p.m. on July 1 are cancelled due to current Provincial fire index rating for our Region.
Due to Memorial Day events, there are a number of traffic impacts in the City of St. John’s for July 1.
The City has received an application from 86755 Newfoundland & Labrador Inc. to rezone 8 Shaw Street and 4 McLea Place from the Residential Special (RA) Zone to the Residential 1 (R1) Zone.
Blackhead Crescent between civic numbers 44 - 65 will be closed to traffic on Thursday, June 26 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. to facilitate culvert repairs. Use an alternate route and expect delays.
As the Provincial fire ban has now been lifted, the St. John’s Regional Fire Department informs all residents that the fire ban covering the Region including the City of St. John’s, City of Mount Pearl and Town of Paradise has also been lifted with immediate effect.
The Volendam with 1839 passengers is scheduled to arrive in the Port of St. John’s at 12 p.m. on Friday, June 27, and depart at 10 p.m.
The Department of Transportation and Infrastructure wishes to advise that Route 3 between Ruby Line and Doyle’s Road will be closed on Saturday, June 28, from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. to facilitate the reinstallation of Cochrane Pond Bridge following the completion of the repairs.

The Paul Reynolds Community Centre will reopen on Wednesday, June 25. The main entrance has been secured and addressed, however work will continue tomorrow which may require traffic to be redirected in the parking area.
The City of St. John’s has received considerable feedback regarding the landmark sign that Council approved for placement in Bannerman Park at the June 17 Council Meeting.
