The following is a recap of the City of St. John's Regular Council Meeting on January 27, 2026.
The Winter Activity Centre located at North Bank Lodge in Pippy Park will re-open today (Jan. 29, 2026) at noon.
Proposals are being accepted for the Markets on Water on the Downtown Pedestrian Mall during the 2026 season.
Hebron Way, from Sea Rose Ave to Major’s Path, is closed due to heavy drifting and poor visibility.
Several online pages and tools will be temporarily unavailable on StJohns.ca.
Please be advised that all City of St. John’s recreation facilities will close at 4:30 p.m.
ChillFest, the City of St. John’s annual winter festival, is back from February 12 to 16!
A Discretionary Use application has been submitted by Eleven 21 Events Inc. for 320 Torbay Road.
Due to scheduled system maintenance, some payment processes will be unavailable on January 23, 2026.
Residential tax bills covering January to June 2026 are in the mail. Residents are encouraged to check their mailboxes.
