The City of St. John’s is pleased to share highlights from the latest update on its Resilient St. John’s Community Climate Plan, a roadmap to significantly reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, complete the clean energy transition, and help the city adapt to the impacts of climate change.

Effective immediately, the Paul Reynolds Community Centre is closed due to unplanned maintenance. An update on the reopening of the facility will be provided at noon on June 21, 2025.

New Metrobus stops have been added along Harbour Drive in areas that were previously designated as paid parking. These changes support public transit accessibility ahead of the Downtown Pedestrian Mall.

Contractors may be working on multiple streets from June 23 to 28 under the City’s annual streets rehabilitation and infrastructure maintenance programs.

Construction is resuming on University Avenue and Prince Philip Drive from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday June 23 to Saturday, July 19 to complete the remaining works associated with the University Avenue Storm Sewer Upgrades project.
