As part of the ongoing construction of new accessible washrooms at Kelly’s Brook Park, the shared-use path in Kelly’s Brook Park near Hoyles Avenue (including the trail connection to Hoyles Avenue) will be closed for the next few weeks to facilitate re-paving.
The City of St. John’s has concluded a Code of Conduct investigation involving Councillor Tom Davis. A complaint was received on March 13, 2026, alleging disrespectful behaviour in the workplace, including inappropriate verbal exchanges and comments. An independent external investigator was appointed to review the matter. The investigation found that Councillor Davis breached the City’s Respectful Workplace Policy by engaging in disrespectful behaviour and creating a negative work environment.
The City of St. John’s is now accepting applications for the 2026 Traffic Box Art Program. This initiative engages visual artists to design and paint original artwork on traffic signal boxes—metal cabinets located at intersections and roadsides that house traffic signal controls.
Starting 10 a.m. Thursday, June 4, additional appointments will become available to residents of St. John's to book free curbside collection for oversized waste.
