The City has received an application to rezone 231 Main Road from the Residential 1 (R1) Zone to the Residential 3 (R3) Zone to accommodate four (4) residential units in the form of Townhouses. Townhouses are a permitted use in the R3 Zone.

The City has installed a new traffic signal at the intersection of Elizabeth Avenue and Newtown Road, near the MUN Administration Building. This signal is part of our ongoing efforts to improve road safety and manage traffic flow more effectively.
Change of Arrival Date for Serenade of the Seas Cruise ShipRoyal Caribbean's Serenade of the Seas Cruise Ship, originally scheduled to arrive in St. John's on Saturday, August 31, has changed their arrival date to Thursday, August 29.
Detour - Blackmarsh Road (Pearce Avenue to Cashin Avenue)Due to water main replacement work, Blackmarsh Road, between Pearce Avenue and Cashin Avenue, will be closed to westbound traffic starting on August 27 at 7am until November 1 at 7pm. A detour will be in place.
