Evacuation Alert Lifted for Paddy’s Pond Industrial, Galway and Southlands AreasThe Evacuation Preparedness Alert for the Paddy’s Pond Industrial, Galway and Southlands areas has been lifted effective immediately. The alert in neighbouring communities in Paradise and CBS has also been lifted.
Road Closure: Southern Portion of Fowler’s RoadPlease be advised that the southern portion of Fowler’s Road is closed today as ground crews continue suppression efforts on the Paddy’s Pond fire.
We will update the public once the road has reopened.
Evacuation Order is Lifted for Paddy’s Pond Industrial Area — August 15, 2025Please be advised that the Evacuation Order for Paddy’s Pond Industrial Area, including Akita Equipment and surrounding buildings, hangers, Cochrane Pond Family Campground, Country Ribbon Chicken Farm, Sod Farm and the Forestry Depot, has been lifted effective immediately. Northern Pond Road, the southern portion of Fowlers Road and Paddy’s Pond Road have also reopened.
