The City of St. John’s is tentatively scheduled to begin construction of a new roundabout at the intersection of Portugal Cove Road, Major’s Path and Airport Heights Drive on Monday, April 13, with work expected to continue until the end of 2026.
A Discretionary Use application has been submitted by Complete Holdings Inc. at 14 Forbes Street.
The weather-related parking ban outside the designated downtown area and business district is now lifted (Wednesday, March 25, 2026). The overnight winter parking ban remains in effect.
Waste collection originally scheduled for Tuesday, March 24 will now take place on Wednesday, March 25 along with regularly scheduled Wednesday collection. Collection times may be delayed.
The City of St. John’s recreation facilities will reopen today starting at 4 p.m. for regular scheduled programming. The Winter Activity Centre will remain closed for the day.
Due to current weather conditions, all City facilities will remain closed for the day. An update for evening operations for recreation facilities will be provided at 2 p.m.
Please be advised that all City facilities, including City Hall, recreation facilities and the Residential Drop-Off at Robin Hood Bay will be closed tomorrow morning (Tuesday, March 24) due to forecasted weather.
Due to forecasted weather, curbside waste collection is cancelled on Tuesday, March 24, 2026. A further update on the revised collection schedule will be provided tomorrow.
