Families and neighbours are invited to come together as part of Neighbourhood Connect to a free outdoor play session at Martin’s Meadow Park, 79 Cabot Street, on Thursday, August 27, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Residents are advised of longer wait times at the Residential Drop-Off due to unexpected equipment issues. Extended wait times are expected while repairs are underway. At this time, there is no estimated timeframe for when repairs will be completed.

Contractors may be working on the following streets from August 17 to 22 under the City’s annual streets rehabilitation and infrastructure maintenance programs. Starting Monday, August 17, underground infrastructure work for the Goulds Fire Station will take place near the construction site. Motorists travelling on the Main Road may experience brief delays as traffic is temporarily shifted around the work area.
The City is considering an amendment to the Envision St. John's Development Regulations to update the definition of Dwelling Unit.
The City is considering an amendment to Section 7.6.1(3) of the Envision St. John's Development Regulations to clarify the landscaping requirements for Townhouse Lots in the Residential 3 (R3) Zone. The proposed amendment would clarify when front yard landscaping is required for Townhouse Lots within the Downtown Snow Removal Area.
