Street Rehab - September 30 to October 5
Contractors may be working on the following streets from September 30 to October 5 under the City’s annual streets rehabilitation and infrastructure maintenance programs. Work could include concrete/street excavation, concrete work, paving, heater scarifying, utility adjustment, ditch cleaning and culvert installation.
National Truth and Reconciliation Day 2024The City will observe National Truth and Reconciliation Day on Monday, September 30, to honour survivors, their families and Indigenous communities, and to raise awareness about the legacy of residential schools in Canada.
Please note the following:
- Most City offices and facilities will be closed on Monday, September 30.
City Accepting Submissions to Art Procurement ProgramThe City of St. John’s is now accepting submissions to the Art Procurement Program.

Visitor Information Centre Hours UpdateEffective Tuesday, October 1, 2024, the City of St. John’s Visitor Information Centre located at 348 Water Street will be adjusting their hours of operation, as follows:

Application - 21 Merrymeeting RoadThe City has received an application from The Physically Disabled Service Centre Inc. (The HUB) at 21 Merrymeeting Road to convert office space into six (6) residential bedsitting rooms with a common area and shared bathroom, laundry, and kitchen facilities.
