The City of St. John's is auctioning properties due to unpaid property taxes, in accordance with the City of St. John's Municipal Taxation Act.

Due to the provincial election and providing our staff an opportunity to vote, waste collection for Area 2 will now take place on Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2025.

Due to the Thanksgiving Day holiday on Monday, October 13, all City offices and facilities will be closed.

The unofficial results of the 2025 City of St. John's Municipal Election are now available.

We want to assure residents that anyone in line before 8 p.m. will have the opportunity to vote. 

The City of St. John’s is asking all residents, as well as anyone who lives or works in a building connected to the City’s water system, to voluntarily reduce their water use.

The City of St. John’s Visitor Information Centre at 348 Water Street will conclude regular operations for the season on Friday, October 10.

On Election Day, Ward 2 residents can vote at the First Light Centre for Performance and Creativity or the Bannerman Park Pool House.
